The flight of the bumblebee for orchestra

The Flight of the bumblebee is an orchestral interlude written in 1899/1900 by Rimsky-Korsakov for his opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan. This piece closes Act III, Table 1, just after the magical swan has given the son of Tsar Prince Gvidon Saltanovich instructions to metamorphose into an insect to join his father. Although the swan sings opera during the first part of "Flight", the part is always omitted in the interpretation of this piece in concert.

(Gvidon down the coast to the sea water not a bumblebee flying, swirling around the swan.)

Swan:
Well, now, my staff in front
catching the ship on the sea
slowed gently
penetrates into the crack a little further.
Good luck Gvidon, flies,
but did not stay long!
(The bell goes flying.)
